A Word of Wisdom

I share this hoping some of you will have better "luck" than Matt and I last night.  Purchase a large, cheap, plastic bowl to "live" under your children's beds.  Though we lived through a terrible, family stomach bug last March, we were still a bit unprepared last night.  As I was getting Madeline up to run to the bathroom, I realized we were not going to make it.  Quickly I grabbed a plastic shopping bag that was on her floor and emptied it.  Though she was able to "use" the bag as Matt ran downstairs to get a bowl, the bag broke and it contents surged to the floor.  Oh, how I wish we had a bowl!!!  So. . .in a few minutes I am heading to Walmart to purchase a couple plastic bowls and a steamvac.

Lauren - I'm so sorry you had to learn this the hard way. We learned this lesson early, but we were lucky because J had a plastic bucket (the kind for sand toys) under her bed. We grabbed it in time, and ever since, it's been known as the "yuckies bucket." She started using it at age 3, and she's never been off with her aim. : )
