Valentine's Day Party

Valentine's Day this year was extra special.  For days ahead we made cards and memorized 1Cor13.  Before celebrating the holiday with our friends, we all met at a nursing home.  We got to hand out valentine's and spend time talking to the residents, and at the end we shared our verse with them and sung a hymn together.  One of the gentlemen in the nursing home had been a music director at his church for most of his life, and it was a joy to have him lead us in song.  It was an experience the kids and I will never forget.  I hope we get more opportunities like this in the future.  It was a true blessing.
After our time at the nursing home, we came back to our house with all of our friends.  We did a small craft, exchanged valentines, and iced and ate cookies.  It was a joyful time with friends.
