The kids and I have had a fun couple days hanging around the house and doing some cleaning, as we anticipate the arrival of the James' and Allie. On Monday we went to the Morrisville playground in the morning with Daddy only to leave 30 minutes later. . .it was too hot!!! Here we are in the beginning of October with mid-ninety degree weather. Thankfully, a trip to Randy's pizza for lunch quickly helped Maddie and Ryan forget the playground.
Matt and I are getting excited for tomorrow. . .the opening of Rita's, an ice cream shop right next to Harris Teeter. . .it's rumored that there will be free samples!!! And of course we cannot wait for Bobby, Lanie and Allie to get here!!!

This boy is so silly. He loves walking around in Mommy's and Daddy's shoes. Of course this usually means that he falls flat on his face, but he does not seem to mind, as he continues to do it!
Madeline's girlfriend Jenna came over today for a playdate. Here they are playing with Sarah the hermit crab that Daddy bought them at the beach. Just a couple days ago Matt noticed that Sarah, the hermit crab, was missing a leg. We're thinking that we may find it around here one day soon and we're thinking that our little RyRy might be the culprit. Perhaps it is Ry's revenge for Sarah hanging from his lips a few weeks ago.
Okay, before we had kids, we said we would NEVER let them do this. And after we had Madeline we said we would NEVER let our kids do this. And here we are after Ryan. . . Yes, that's Ryan jumping off the coffee table onto the couch. And yes, we enjoy every moment of it.
This is Madeline at a campsite in Maryland. The girl loves the great outdoors!!! And she loves hiking. While visiting GG, she hiked a 4 mile trail and climbed rocks, and Grandpa Steve only carried her for the last bit of the hike.
